This grey granite, segmented obelisk is at the turn off from Main South Road, to the St Ann's Anglican Church of Aldinga. While the 'northwestern' face of the base lists the four locals that went to World War One, it is southwestern face that details for World War Two. It reads:

   World War II
    1939-1945
Our Fallen Soldier
 Pte. J.C. Hardy

Private J. C. Hardy (NX149144), fought in C Company, 2/1 Infantry Battalion, in New Guinea. [ex-Australian War Memorial Personnel of C Company, Karawop and Wewak Area, New Guinea ]
