An added bonus here is the marker for his wife, Izzebell. It's not uncommon to see a married couple who were both members of the Woodmen and the World and Woodmen Circle, each with their organization-specific grave marker, but in this case, Mrs. Evans's marker is a "fake Woodman", with no organizational emblem. There's just a star above the inscription, and one can only presume that the family wanted to maintain the "cut short" theme for both.
