Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient for action at Williamsburg, VA on May 5, 1862. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Section 54, Site 3841. He was originally interred in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange NJ and moved to Arlington in July 2001.

He was born in 1833 in County Ballagh, Ireland and died on December 21, 1909 in East Orange, NJ. He attained the rank of Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. His Medal of Honor information and citation is: CONBOY, MARTIN
