There are two sections of petrified trees on display behind the Fort Peck Interpretive Center in Fort Peck, Montana. A sign in front of one of the sections simply states "Petrified Trees Donated by the Hubing Family 2004". There are no other signs and no online information to tell of where these came from. However, it is likely that they are from the area nearby to the Fort Peck Lake the interpretive center seemed to only display things related to the Fort Peck Dam, the lake, and the area close by.
