Before the start of the concrete ramp up to the entry of the Post Office is a polished pink granite Foundation Stone. It reads:

      This Stone was Laid
	    by the
  Honourable Varney Parkes M.L.A.
       Postmaster General
	26th August 1899

The Post Office is on the south side of Main Street (aka Newell Highway), and is a rendered, single-storey building with three arched windows at the front (with the Foundation Stone below the left-hand window). It has a corrugated iron hip roof.
