In 2015, the sports area of the district school Winterhude was redesigned. It became a multipurpose hall and an artificial turf pitch with four floodlit masts ensuring sports in the evenings and in the dark season.
The sports field has an official capacity of 1,200 visitors.
As well-equipped sports fields in Hamburg are rare, the sports field is also used by some Hamburg amateur clubs.
The sports field is usually closed for visitors, only for the events is it possible to enter the course.
