Avant la construction du pont Wilson qui a dévolu ce rôle à la rue Nationale, la rue Colbert formait l'axe principal de la ville. Notez au n° 25 les curieux personnages en bois sculpté au rez-de-chaussée d'une vaste demeure à colombages. Au n° 41, l'enseigne « À la Pucelle Armée » figurant sur une maison à colombages rappelle que c'est ici que Jeanne d'Arc aurait fait fabriquer son armure, en 1429.

Before the construction of the Wilson Bridge, which devolved this role to the Rue Nationale, Colbert Street formed the main axis of the city. Note in No. 25 the curious carved wooden characters on the ground floor of a large half-timbered house. At No. 41, the sign "À la Maid Maid" on a half-timbered house reminds that it was here that Joan of Arc had her armor made in 1429.
