Today, the Yellow House Hotel is a fine dining venue as well as a charming bed and breakfast but it started its life in 1801 as a stagecoach stop and a country store for people traveling from Reading to Philadelphia. Throughout the years, the hotel has also been home to a general store, a post office and a telephone switchboard office. Its location close to other historic sites such as the Friends Meeting House where ancestors of Daniel Boone and Abraham Lincoln are buried and the Daniel Boone Homestead where Daniel Boone was born and lived until he was 16 provides the opportunity for a totally historic visit.
