Le lieu
Le premier pont qui relie les deux rives est construit en 1787, remplaçant alors le gué et la barque qui assuraient jusque là la liaison avec la Haute-Provence. Ce pont à 3 arches sépare alors le vieux village de la nouvelle cité appelée communément « Le Hameau » qui a pris le nom de quartier Saint-André, menant vers le Moulin de Saint-André. Bombardé le 15 août 1944 durant la seconde guerre mondiale, le pont de Vinon-sur-Verdon (depuis nommé « Pont du 15 août 1944 ») a été reconstruit après la guerre.

The place
The first bridge that connects the two banks is built in 1787, replacing the ford and the boat that previously provided the link with the Haute-Provence. This bridge with 3 arches then separates the old village of the new city commonly called "Le Hameau" which took the name of Saint-André district, leading to the Moulin de Saint-André. Bombed August 15, 1944 during the Second World War, the bridge of Vinon-sur-Verdon (since named "Bridge of August 15, 1944") was rebuilt after the war.
