Long Description:
The San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation is home to a people who migrated to the area in the tenth century. This reservation includes parts of Gila, Pinal and Graham counties and consists of forests, woodlands and desert scrub. On separate lands to the north are the White Mountain, Tonto and Yavapai Apache tribes. The major employer is the government followed by cattle ranching.
