In der Meckenheimer Allee, Ecke Beringstraße steht diese Lifaßsäule. Es handelt sich um ein einfaches, klassisches Modell aus Beton, an dem nachträglich am oberen Rand ein Kranz aus Metall angebracht worden ist.

Die auffälligste Werbeanzeige an der Säule zum Zeitpunkt meines Besuchs war für das "China Light Festival" des Kölner Zoos. Dabei handelt es sich um ein mehrwöchiges Event, bei dem der Zoo besonders dekoriert und beleuchtet wird. Das Plakat dazu zeigt einen kunstvoll in Szene gesetzten, bunt leuchtenden Drachen vor der nächtlichen Skyline von Köln. Erstaunlicherweise war das Event zum Zeitpunkt meines Besuchs der Litfaßsäule bereits mehrere Monate vorbei.
In Meckenheimer Allee, corner Beringstraße stands this advertising column. It is a simple, classic model made of concrete, on which a metal wreath has been attached at the top later.

The most eye-catching advertisement on the column at the time of my visit was for the "China Light Festival" of the Cologne Zoo. It is a multi-week event where the zoo is specially decorated and illuminated. The poster shows an artistically staged, brightly colored dragon in front of the nocturnal skyline of Cologne. Amazingly, the event was already over for several months at the time of my visit to the advertising column.
