Brauerei Obendorfer

Die Gebäude sind bis heute erhalten. Wer aufmerksam durch die Stadt spaziert, sieht schon von weitem die Schornsteine mit ihren typischen Helmen, und kommt man dann langsam näher, sieht man auch das recht imposante Gebäude darunter. In mittlerweile verblichenem Olivgrün, darauf in Weiß der Schriftzug Brauerei Obendorfer, leider an der einen oder anderen Stelle schon abblätternd.

Brauerei Franz Rothlauf hat sie früher geheißen, bevor sie nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg von Hans Obendorfer übernommen und umbenannt worden ist. Bis 1997 wurden hier die Obendorfer Biere gebraut, solide Handwerksbiere aus der Region, für die Region. Danach wurde der Braubetrieb eingestellt.

Obendorfer Biere gibt es allerdings nach wie vor auf dem Markt. Die einzige noch existierende Brauerei in Weismain, die Weismainer Püls-Bräu, hat die Marke übernommen und braut nach den alten Rezepturen die Biere weiter.

Brewery Obendorfer

The buildings are preserved until today. If you walk attentively through the city, you can see the chimneys with their typical helmets from afar, and when you get closer, you can see the impressive building underneath. In now faded olive green, on it in white the lettering Brewery Obendorfer, unfortunately at one point or another already peeling off.

Brewery Franz Rothlauf used to be called it before it was taken over and renamed after the Second World War by Hans Obendorfer. Until 1997, the Obendorfer beers were brewed here, solid craft beers from the region, for the region.

Obendorfer beers are still on the market. The only still existing brewery in Weismain, the Weismainer Püls-Bräu, has taken over the brand and continues to brew the beers according to the old recipes.
