The tapping point of the "Römerquelle" is located at the Villa Schaaffhausen in the district Rommersdorf. Hubert Schaaffhausen laid the water pipe from the "Annatal" valley in 1847, which to this day provides spring water.

The water is drinkable and is often used by local residents who bottle it and take it home. Hikers often quench their thirst here, although investigations in accordance with the Drinking Water Ordinance have never taken place.
