Marceline is best known as the birthplace of Walt Disney. Marceline's Main Street was used as the model for Disneyland's Main Street. The old Sante Fe train depot is now a museum to Mr Disney. And just northeast of the museum in the city Public Safety Building, housing the police and fire departments. Behind this building is the city maintenance building, which has the town warning siren mounted on top. The siren is a Federal Thunderbolt Model 1000.
