Bull Foot Park, south of Hennessey commemorates a popular watering station along the Chisholm Trail, where cattle stopped to drink along the way from Texas to the Kansas rail heads. The watering station was formed by creek water running into a natural indentation resembling a bull's foot. This park is a large park with a walking trail around its perimeter.
On the rolling grassy area on the south side of the park are 16 figures in black steel. Three are horses with riders and 13 are cattle. Thirteen of the figures are headed north, but across the walking trail, a horseback rider is following two stragglers to get them back into the herd. Subtly, away from the herd and drovers, is a single Indian brave on horseback, observing the action.

Far in the background are silhouettes of an oilfield pumping unit, and storage tanks, another symbol of the Hennessey area, which has a rich oil history.
