[EN] "Since 1951, in a niche of the façade of the building in which the museum is located, a carillon with originally 12 bells, then 28 bells, later 37 bells, are played daily at 10, 12, 16 and 18 o'clock with different songs, whereby two Wuppertal originals from the turn of the century, Zuckerfritz and August Kallenbach (see also: list of Wuppertal originals), revolve around the bell tower. Chrono's zeitgeist appears every quarter of an hour, turning his hourglass around. The reaper Death comes out of his door on the hour and reminds us of the transience of all existence. With the sweep of his scythe he symbolically cuts off the past hour. The carillon is one of the sights of Wuppertal."
