The exhibit has a model of the Space Launch System (SLS) scale 1/144. It also has a memorial to an astronaut. The memorial reads:
"ELLISON S. ONIZUKA, Lt Col,
USAF
Entered active duty in January 1970 through the ROTC program. His first assignment was with Sacramento Air Logistics, McClellan AFB, California. He attended the USAF Test Pilot School from August 1974 to July 1975 and was assigned to the Air Force Flight Test ‘
Center, Edward AFB California.
In January 1978, Lt Col Onizuka was selected
as a NASA astronaut and first ?ew as a mission specialist on STS S1-C (Discovery). His first Space Shuttle DoD mission was January 24, 1985. Lt Col Onizuku was on STS Sl-L (Challenger) launched from Kennedy Space Center. Florida. on January 28. I986.
