He was born on September 27, 1846 in Washington County, MD and died on February 1, 1905 in Los Angeles, CA. His Medal of Honor information and citation is: BEAUFORD, CLAY

• Place and date: Winter of 1872-73

Citation: Gallant conduct during campaigns and engagements with Apaches.
