The Absecon (/11 Memorial was completed in 2016. It features granite reproductions of the World Trade Center, as well as a piece if I Bar from the 39th floor. There are memorial markers for Flight 93 and the Pentagon as well.

At 8:43 am, United Airlines Boeing 757 Flight 93 departed Newark, New Jersey International Airport to San Francisco, California. Then 4 radicals gained control of the plane and schemed to destroy a target in Washington, DC. In order to prevent this action, several courageous passengers and crewmembers struggled with the enemy to stop the deadly missile headed toward our Nation's Capital. The last known words of passenger Todd Beamer became a national rallying cry. "Let's roll." Their effort proved successful but also fatal, as 34 passengers and 7 crewmembers lost their lives at 10:06 am, when the plane crashed in a lonely, desolate field.
