Plaza de Toros is a covered bullring with seating for 5500 people, where corridas, equestrian shows and typical Mexican dances are performed every Wednesday from 15:30 to 18:00. It is also used for various shows, such as wrestling and concerts. On March 8, 2008, the first world heavyweight championship fight of the World Boxing Council (WBC) took place on Mexican soil, between the Russian Oleg Maskaev and the Nigerian Samuel Peter.
