This building at 111 N. McCracken was completed in 1938 by the WPA. Built as a City Hall/Fire Department, it is currently occupied as the senior citizens center and the Chouteau Library.
The building is rectangular, but has had wings constructed on the north and south facade, and the facade has been clad with stucco. The building has a gabled roof which is currently covered with metal siding. Each window unit has standing soldier bricks on the sides and sill, and the metal-framed windows have been added later. The walls are constructed with uncut, randomly laid Native Stone in buff and auburn colors.
