The Lithuanian Wayside Cross is a 30' by 15' by 20" painted teak Christian cross set on a 6' by 4.5' trapezoidal marble base. The cross was designed by Simas Augaitis and sculpted by Joseph Ambrozaitis. It was erected on the grounds of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph on May 17, 1987 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Christianity in Lithuania.
