This sign of history is attached to a rock in the backyard of the Benito Juarez City Hall along Avenida Carlos Nader in Cancun, Mexico.

The plaque reads:

"Av. Carlos L. Nader
Trazada en 1970, es la primera calle de la Ciudad de Cancun, y primera tambien en ilevar un nombre. Su bautizo ocurrio de manera espontanea, pues tras la inesperada muerte del Lic. Carlos Nader, a la semana siguiente aparecio, sembrado al suelo, un letrero de madera con la leyenda: Avenida Carlos Nader que sus propios companeros colocaron en su honor. El Licenciado Carlos Luis Nader Marquez fue asesor juridico del Banco de Mexico y estuvo encargado de la compra de los terrenos para desarrollar el Proyecto Cancun. Carlos Nader nacio en la Ciudad de mexico en 1926 y faalcio en un accidente a/reo el jueves 6 de enero de 1972 en Bacalar, Quintana Roo."

Translation:

"Av. Carlos L. Nader
Drawn in 1970, it is the first street of the City of Cancun, and first also in a name. His baptism occurred spontaneously, because after the unexpected death of Lic. Carlos Nader, the following week appeared, planted on the ground, a wooden sign with the legend: Avenida Carlos Nader that his own colleagues placed in his honor. Mr. Carlos Luis Nader Marquez was a legal advisor to the Bank of Mexico and was in charge of purchasing the land to develop the Cancun Project. Carlos Nader was born in Mexico City in 1926 and died in a crash on Thursday, January 6, 1972 in Bacalar, Quintana Roo."
