In a section of an old oak tree from the park, they have used the tree rings to create a timeline from during the life of the tree from ~1500 to 2000. The blue markers on the right, events that occurred in the park. The yellow markers on the right important world events.

The timeline starts around 1500, although I estimate thet the tree was around 40 years old by this time. Some of the events covered:
1537 - Birth of Lady Jane Grey
1666 - Great fire of London
1696 - The park and house at their finest
1776 - American Declaration of Independence
1914 - WWI begins
1945 - WWII ends
2000 - Tree blows down and is cut up
