This 'cabin' is one of Banff's oldest buildings. Originally, it was the summer home for E.H. Crandell, one of Alberta's most prominent businessmen. It was later purchased by the Peck family and it became locally known as "Peck's Corner". It is currently home to Wilder & Davis Luthiers - fine violin makers.

Built in 1907, it pre-dates the construction of Buffalo Street. It is influenced by the Folk Design aesthetic with elements, such as vertical corner posts, that are characteristic of the Rocky Mountain Region.
