A thread in the Waymarking section of Groundspeak's forums advertised the first ever planned meeting of Waymarkers, open to anyone in the world, and coordinated by Waymarker 8Nuts MotherGoose.
It was held at J&J's Pizza in downtown Denton, TX on the square. The courthouse square is opposite of this storefront pizza parlor, which is also a Waymark.
Several of us were able to attend, with this waymarker being the furthest away to come from home. A great time was had by all. Of course, being the first, it was also the LARGEST meeting of Waymarkers at the time. (Also the SMALLEST, MOST PROFESSIONAL, MOST CASUAL, and a lot of other things.)
