In Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, along the Neponset Greenway, is this mural painted on a retaining wall where the Mattapan Section of the MBTA Red Line crosses the Greenway.
The Neponset Greenway is a path that runs along the Neponset River, starting near the mouth to the east. Here, the path has been in existence for a few years, but a section to the west was open last year. This section is a couple hundred feet east of the end of Butler Street.
The mural is a long section, about 100 ft, from one end of the retaining wall to the bridge. There is a credit section on the western end away from the bridge. Next to the credits is an image of a moth (well, that's my guess) in a square. From there, silhouettes of children playing are alternated with patterns featuring natural things.
The mural was painted in 2005. It is in good shape, though it needs some cleaning and retouching.
