These four Flora and Fauna Signs are at Eagle Nest Viewpoint on the North Pend Oreille Scenic Byway, Hwy 31: 10 km north of Ione and 5 km south of Metaline.

There are four signs at this interpretive center that overlooks the Pend Oreille River. There is ample parking, pause awhile and maybe you will see the eagles across the river in the cottonwood trees.

Eagle Nest Viewpoint:
This site is named for the Bald Eagle nest in the tall cottonwood trees across the river (Pend Oreille River). The Bald Eagles are often seen flying up and down the river to their various fishing areas.
