The plaque on the 'pink rose' coloured granite reads:

  [Australian Commonwealth Military Forces crest]
	  ANZAC PLACE
       Commemorating the Centenary of
		1915-2015

         From this place, many Australians
volunteered to serve their country in WW1

Since that time others have faced danger and hardship.
Many lost their lives to defend and preserve freedom.

	  They are not forgotten
			   Dedicated
		Australia Day, 26 January, 2016
        [RSL logo] [100 Years logo]
On the side of the plinth is a smaller plaque, which reads:

   This Memorial was constructed
by the Greater Taree City Council
	   on behalf of
      Wingham RSL Sub-Branch

	    Funded by:
the Australian Government Centenary
   of ANZAC Local Grants Program
	[100 Years of ANZAC
	 The Spirit Lives]

Next to this plinth and plaque set, is a wooden arbor, and an Interpretative Sign about the Battle of Lone Pine, and it includes a couple of photos of Central Park being used as a 'muster point' for soldiers in World War One and Two.
