This mounting block is located within the modern wall of St Mary's church in Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf.
The tread of each step is topped with slate, although this is likely to be a modern addition.
The small church itself has structural elements dating back to at least the 15th century and possibly earlier but extensive modernisation to the church and graveyard has taken place.
