The inscription that is etched onto the aluminium slat reads:
"Andrew Hugh Campbell OAM 1946-2011
"In recognition of his contribution to the town centre Master Plan and Port Macquarie community"
This bench has mostly smaller wooden slats, with five wooden slats for the backrest, with the aluminium one included near the top of the backrest. The seat has six wooden slats. These slats are fixed to two cast aluminum shaped supports. It overlooks the Hastings River.
