The two white flashes every 10 seconds were quite visible on the evening ferry from Tenerife. A third order Fresnel lens is used to concentrate the light. The lighthouse keeper house is a white stucco building beside the lighthouse at the end of the road. The station was established in 1903 with this lighthouse in service since 1978.
