Old downtown Schertz stands along Main St/FM 78/Seguin Road. In order to get to their Lodge, all the local Masons had to use the OST.
In the 1990s, FM 78 was widened and re-routed one block south of Main Street, but the old alignment of the OST formerly ran in front of Randolph Army Air Field, crossed the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks and ran 1 block north on 1st/Lee Street, before turning east as Main Street for 6 blocks through downtown Schertz. At the edge of town, OST turned back south across the RR tracks to head east to Cibolo.

We looked, but there have been a lot of changes in Schertz on 90 years. The depot has been moved well out of downtown, and we saw no sign of the Ebert Bros. Gulf :(
We *think* based on old photos that the depot was located at 1st/Lee Street at the FM 78/OST, which puts the Ebert Bros. gas station in what is now a bank parking lot. The waymarked OST-era Masonic Lodge was about a block east of the depot and gas station.
