Français Abolir les clichés véhiculés sur les séjours en hôpitaux psychiatriques, colorer la ville et faire participer les patients à une œuvre collective, voilà le projet qui perdure au sein de l’Institut Saint-Jean de Dieu depuis maintenant 5 ans. Non loin du parc du Coron et se dirigeant vers la rue de Condé, la fresque murale redonne des couleurs tant aux patients qu’aux murs grisâtres. Pierrette Hostie est artiste au sein du centre depuis 15 ans. En 2013, elle propose aux pouvoirs locaux de la Ville de Leuze de mettre en place un projet visant la réalisation d’une fresque murale. Au départ, six mètres de couleurs ont redonné vie à la palissade. Aujourd’hui, on compte 30 mètres d’images illustrant différents thèmes. «La première année, nous sommes partis sur le thème de l’hymne à la nature. Ensuite, nous avons travaillé sur la forêt, la mer, la ferme et maintenant l’astronomie. Ces idées sont le résultat de concertation avec les patients qui participent à ce projet, jusqu’ici reconduit chaque année.» C’est un projet qui suscite beaucoup d’engouement, même si au départ, franchir le cap n’est pas facile. «Lorsqu’on passe par nos soins, c’est qu’on ne va pas très bien», explique l’artiste. «Pour les patients, cela peut être un cap difficile à franchir que d’être vus à l’extérieur, car en général, on essaie de cacher ses faiblesses. Mais je remarque que l’engouement est important et je suis toujours étonnée de voir comme les personnes, bien souvent de passage, arrivent à s’imbriquer dans un travail déjà en court. Comme les gens arrivent et partent, ce ne sont pas forcément les mêmes qui créent les dessins et qui les peignent. Mais tous s’impliquent de manière impressionnante. C’est un projet passionnant à bien des niveaux!». Près de 130 personnes ont déjà collaboré à cette œuvre baptisée Leuze-en-Couleurs, un travail réalisé pendant l’hiver en ateliers et concrétisé durant les beaux jours de l’été par un procédé d’agrandissement par quadrillage. Loin d’en avoir fini, les artistes du centre travaillent déjà au thème de cette année. La cinquantaine de mètres de mur qu’il reste à couvrir risque donc bien de se parer de beaux atours dans le courant de l’été 2018.

" Nearly 130 people have already collaborated in this work called Leuze-en-Couleurs, a work done during the winter in workshops and concretized during the summer's beautiful days by a process of enlargement grid. Far from being finished, the center's artists are already working on this year's theme. The fifty meters of wall that remains to be covered may well be adorned with beautiful attire in the course of summer 2018.

Niet ver van het Coron Park en in de richting van de rue de Condé, geeft de muurschildering kleur aan zowel patiënten als grijze muren. Pierrette Hostie is al 15 jaar een artiest in het centrum. In 2013 stelde ze de plaatselijke autoriteiten van de stad Leuze voor om een ??project op te zetten dat gericht was op de realisatie van een muurschildering. Aanvankelijk deden zes paletten kleuren de palissade herleven. Tegenwoordig zijn er 30 meter aan afbeeldingen die verschillende thema's illustreren. "Het eerste jaar begonnen we met het thema van de hymne voor de natuur. Daarna werkten we aan het bos, de zee, de boerderij en nu astronomie. Deze ideeën zijn het resultaat van overleg met patiënten die deelnemen aan dit project, dat elk jaar wordt vernieuwd. " Het is een project dat erg populair is, zelfs als het niet gemakkelijk is om aan het begin te beginnen. "Als we door onze zorg gaan, is het dat we niet zo goed gaan", zegt de kunstenaar. "Voor de patiënten kan het een moeilijke stap zijn om gezien te worden buiten, omdat men over het algemeen probeert zijn zwakheden te verbergen. Maar ik merk dat de rage belangrijk is en het verbaast me altijd als ik zie hoe mensen, die vaak passeren, betrokken raken bij een werk dat al aan de gang is. Terwijl mensen komen en gaan, zijn het niet noodzakelijk dezelfde mensen die de tekeningen maken en schilderen. Maar ze betrekken zichzelf allemaal op een indrukwekkende manier. Het is een opwindend project op veel niveaus! " Bijna 130 mensen hebben al samengewerkt in dit werk genaamd Leuze-en-Couleurs, een werk dat in de winter in werkplaatsen werd uitgevoerd en tijdens de mooie dagen van de zomer werd geconcretiseerd door een uitbreidingsrasterwerk. Verre van klaar te zijn, werken de kunstenaars van het centrum al aan het thema van dit jaar. De vijftig meter muur die nog moet worden bedekt, kan in de loop van de zomer van 2018 worden versierd met prachtige kleding.
