Au debut du 16ième siècle Jean Le Breton ,ministre des finances de François Ier, fait edifier ce chateau contre le donjon de l'ancienne forteresse.Le château est dans l'écrins d'une moisaique de jardins.
[EN] The castle of Villandry owes its fame to its splendid French gardens. It is the last castle of the Loire built during the Renaissance.
At the beginning of the 16th century Jean Le Breton, Minister of Finance of François Ier, built this castle against the keep of the old fortress. The castle is in the setting of a case of gardens.
