A plaque in honor of the 200th anniversary of the laying of the corner stone of San Fernando Cathedral, now the Cathedral Basilica of San Fernando de Bexar, in the plaza to the east of the Cathedral's main entrance reads as follows:

"To commemorate
the two hundredth anniversary of
the laying of the corner stone
