The park is named after Martina Glagow, now Martina Beck, Mittenwald's most famous biathlete. Three silver medals at the Winter Olympics, 15 World Cup victories, three gold, five silver and four bronze medals at World Championships - that is the success story that led to her being given a park in the center of Mittenwald.
