Indian Camp Public Access New London MO offers access to the Salt River. Fish from the bank or put in here and head east towards the Mississippi River or go west towards Mark Twain Lake.
Many species of fish can be found in these waters.
"Public access to the rest of the Salt River is limited to Indian Camp Access and on the Ted Shanks Conservation Area just two miles upstream of the confluence with the Mississippi River. At Indian Camp Access, smallmouth bass are common, but most fish will be less than 12 inches long. Anglers report catching smallmouth bass up to three pounds, but those are less common. Flathead catfish, channel catfish, and common carp are also popular in this reach. Giggers like this reach as they pursue buffalo, redhorse suckers, and other non-game species during the fall gigging season." (
