This former post office is located at 12 South 5th Street and is known as The Centennial Building. It is a one-story blonde brick building, with a cornerstone at the southeast corner which reads:
HENRY MORGENTHAU JR.
Secretary of the Treasury
JAMES A. FARLEY
Postmaster General
Louis A. Simon
Supervising Architect
Neal A. Melick
Supervising Engineer

The main entrance faces east. Seven concrete steps lead to single aluminum and glass door which has sidelights and a transom. The windows are all slightly recessed. Originally they were 8-over-12 double hung. Today, they are 35-pane fixed units, with stone headers and sills. Some windows have been bricked in and others are covered. At the rear, a handicap ramp has been added, leading to one of the two additional entrances. A wooden cupola rises above the hipped roof, with multi-paned windows facing each direction, and a weathervane. The rear half of the building has a flat roof.
The building is currently owned by the City of Yukon and houses their City Council.
