THIS SCULPTURE OF AN OIL FIELD WORKER IS A TRIBUTE TO ALL THE MEN WHO ESTABLISHED THE OIL INDUSTRY FOR TEXAS BY DISCOVERING OIL IN CORSICANA I 1894.
The stature is of a man in overalls and a shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He is wearing a hat. In his right hand he is carrying a pail and in his left he hold the handle of a large pipe wrench laying on his left shoulder. He appears to be in mid-stride.
