Shoshone Memorial Gardens is in Shoshone County, Idaho. Pinehurst is at the west end of the Silver Valley mining region and has approximately 1,619 residents.
Shoshone Memorial Park is approximately 3.5 acres in size and sits on a gently sloping hillside. Though it appears that this cemetery was neglected for years, it is under new ownership and is being well maintained. I was told once that you can tell a lot about a community by how well they care for their cemeteries. On one of the walls is the depiction of the "Last Supper", a religious statue and a white cross. Shoshone Memorial Park was established around 1955 with 1,060 known interments. The first known interment:
Matt Anderson born on February 7, 1887 in Finland and passed away on July 10, 1955, he was 68 years of age.
