Henry and Mildred Savage memorial plaque is attached to one of the pillars that support the entrance archway. There are two American flags one each side of the entrance. The archway is black with "Love is Eternal" at the peak.
Henry "Pape" Savage was born on June 18, 1920 and passed away September 18, 2004 at 84 years of age.
Mildres "Millie" Savage was born November 23, 1924.
Greenwood Cemetery is located in Shoshone County, Idaho. Kellogg is in the Idaho Panhandle in the Silver Valley region. Kellogg has a population of approximately 2,075 residents.
In 1885, Noah Kellogg discovered an outcropping of Galena high on a hillside above Milo Gulch. This discovery spurred the settlements of Wardner and Kellogg, and later became the famous Bunker Hill and Sullivan mines.
Greenwood Cemetery is approximately 14 acres in size and is beautifully maintained. At the entrance there are two American Flags and as you continue on there is a row of flags nearing the Veterans' section of the cemetery. There is a Veterans' memorial surrounded by flush grave markers of local veterans. Greenwood Cemetery was established around 1913 and has approximately 5,226 known interments.
