While this Station opened in August 1887, it wasn't until the 1980's that the line became electrified. The western [side] Platform has easy access from the Pacific Highway side, while the Island Platform has disabled access via a set of lifts, and an overpass footbridge, opened in 1993.
Not nearly enough commuter parking, if you are wanting to catch a train - rather than just picking someone up. Apart from the commuter services to Newcastle, and Gosford/Sydney, it also services the XPT long distance services from Sydney to Armidale, and Brisbane.
