Wilmot Cemetery was previously known as Mud Creek Cemetery and was established about 1870. It is within Albert County and located next to what is most likely the old Lower Coverdale Baptist Church which appears to be in disuse.
There is a newer Baptist church located 200 metres northwest of the cemetery.
Find a Grave lists approximately 590 interments, the cemetery being still active with the last burial in 2015. There is parking in the driveway of the old church building, this being the nearest access to the cemetery.
The Wilmot Cemetery is about 2 acres in size and continues past the tree line near the rear of the cemetery. It is maintained with the sign on the roadside.
There are 30 burials with the surname Lutz, most likely all related. The first known burial was George W. Lutz who died February 8, 1870 at the age of 8 mos. and 15 days.
