From the NGS: "Described by national geodetic survey 1971 (wmj) the point intersected was the finial knob atop the Davis, municipal water tank that is located near the intersection of west eighth street and Parkside drive in the northwest section of Davis. The tank is an oblate spheroid in shape, supported by six tubular steel legs and painted aluminum in color. It is 120 feet in height." (visit link)
