Statue based on a winged Nike, named Pyrsos the Peaceful. It is located at the intersection of Hwy 74 and the road to the Ancient Olympia archaeological site and museum., across from the Olympia Palace hotel.
Dedicated in 1992, the base indicates that it was created by artists Georgios Glyptis and George Schbatsampaia with the assistance of the National Olympic Committee.
It is dedicated with the hope that through sport peace and brotherhood may be achieved between all people.
The statue is bronze and sits on a marble base. It is approximately 4.5M tall.
