Proper Description of Statue:
"Figure of a Confederate soldier standing at parade rest. He wears a moustache and a uniform which includes a hat. He holds the barrel of a rifle in both hands. The butt of the gun rests on the plinth at his feet. He stands atop a large base with relief carvings of flags and cannonballs. On the front of the base is a flag and saber. On the back of the base is a trio of standing rifles. The bottom of the base is tiered." ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum
