Callahan Station falls under the Klamath National Forest jurisdiction within Siskiyou County. Klamath National Forest districts manages land approximately 120 miles wide and 75 miles long. The area and the communities they reside in are varied in their elevations, temperature ranges and size.
Surprisingly, the Callahan Station isn't listed on the USFS Website within the Klamath National Forest and district offices. This station looks to be a typical Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) constructed complex from the 1930s.
I am eager to obtain more information on this historic station, so if any visitors to this waymark have some history on this place, please message me and let me know and I'll update that information here!
