"Die Praterwehrbrücke liegt östlich der Innenstadt von München und verbindet das Westufer der Isar mit der Praterinsel. Unter der Brücke befindet sich ein Wehr, das die Isar aufstaut. Der Höhenunterschied, der unter anderem durch dieses Wehr entsteht, wird durch das Praterkraftwerk genutzt werden. Die Praterwehrbrücke ist die einzige Brücke, über die die Praterinsel mit Kraftfahrzeugen erreicht werden kann. Die Mariannenbrücke, der Wehrsteg und der Kabelsteg sind nur Fußgängerbrücken und die nur 50 Meter nördlich der Praterwehrbrücke gelegene Maximiliansbrücke überspannt die Insel nur. Auf einem Brückenpfeiler steht eine Statue des Heiligen Nepomuk, des Patrons der Flößer."

The Praterwehr Bridge is located east of downtown Munich and connects the western shore of the Isar with the Prater Island. Under the bridge is a weir that dammed the Isar. The height difference, which is caused among other things by this weir, will be used by the Prater power station. The Praterwehr Bridge is the only bridge over which the Prater Island can be reached by motor vehicle. The Mariannenbrücke, the Wehrsteg and the Kabelsteg are only pedestrian bridges and the Maximiliansbrücke, which is only 50 meters north of the Praterwehr Bridge, spans the island only. On a pier stands a statue of Saint Nepomuk, patron saint of raftsmen.
