"Foxy's has a place on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013), which notes that the 1928 "white faience frontage with Home Ales livery and larger-than-life fox" is by architect AE Eberlin. This facade hides a much older building behind the 1928 frontage. Prior to 1928 when it became the Fox, the pub was known as the Fox & Owl. More recently in 1989 it became known as Number 10, despite the fact that its address is actually 67 Upper Parliament Street (Whitworth 2010). In 1876 the Fox & Owl was a fully licensed establishment under victualler C. Hurt, when the street number was 67B (Post Office Directory). Foxy's is in Nottingham City Council's Old Market Square Conservation Area."
